Setting Up Dell (ORiNOCO) RG-1000 For Wireless Internet

My computer is self-built with an Intel mobo, P4 processor (2.8 GHz), WinXP Pro, and the card/RG are the Dell TrueMobile 1150 wireless PCI card with Dell RG-1000 gateway. The flyer for it mentions SNMP management, so there has to be a SNMP management program, like the one for the WAP11 v.1, somewhere on the CD. I'm on a computer at my girlfriend's house right now, but as soon as I get home, I'll try that reset log thing and post back. The Orinoco RG-1000 must be configured from a wireless laptop, so the setup wizard first guides you through the client software installation. If you don't need new features and your product is happily doing it's job... i'm trying to make it obtain it automatically, but it doesn't seem to be working. The rather natty looking unit stands upright, and all the cables connect to it inside a clip-on cover at the rear.
There are two buttons on the back of the RG: Reset and Forced Reload. I've taken off all firewalls and other means of security to make sure that wasn't the problem, and it doens't seem to be. I'm going to try it out and see if I can get this network up. The RG-1000 Residential Gateway is one of Orinoco's range of access products, this being the least specified and lowest priced. does it happen to be a wireless/usb modem that's trying to send the signal to the rg-1000, to the wireless card in the computer. Also check "Configuring the RG" for more reasons why you may want to use the Bridge mode of the RG.

i really think you're confusing you're machine and may have corrupted some files, tcp/ip and/or the dialup adapter. I pinged the RG's IP address though, and it sent AND received all 4 packages without any problem. I have not used an ORiNOCO gateway.
Can anyone give me some help or at least point me in a direction that could help me figure it out?
