Does anybody still remember the howls of anger with 2000 and ME. Within course of time I downloaded and installed SP1 and then SP2 from autoupdate. Was hoping SP 1 would fix this issue. I had to reinstall Vista HP 32 a couple of days ago, and I am having exactly the same problem.

The Update panel shows Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330) is available. When I click on the executable, Windows Explorer shuts down.
