My PC is a home built custom job and my copy of vista is a retail copy I bought when it was first released all those years ago. Wow... What is the Error Message Displayed by the 0×80070570 Error? ISO disc images are not compressed and do not use any defined container format since they are simply a sector-by-sector copy of the information stored on the disc that was copied. I thought I was safe when I made sure I had good restore points to go back to before I started, but the failed update trashed them.
That pretty much defeats the purpose of system restore points doesn't it? Also created slipstream discs using a microsoft xp with sp3 disc as the base and got the same problems at the format stage.
