The internal Card has to align with the cardReader slot: first microSD to MacroSD to PC Slot. If it has a yellow sign beside it, the problem is most probably caused by driver issue. I frequently use it to read CF and SD cards. It will not allow your computer to recognize it. Pretty good post. so i removed the card from phone and inserted it in laptop via Sd card adapter in the sd card slot.

Went to the SD Card Controller and disabled and then enabled and it read the card. Download the Windows 10 drivers from the Manufacturer’s website and install them - in Compatibility mode, if need be.
It worked for me. The drivers for my SD, MMC 's etc, come via Windows Updates.
