Tried numerous fixes found online. i fixed my screen saver i deleted all associated files to dvd launcher in msconfig startup i also re installed(From cold start up boot inserted gigabyte disk and reinstalled )(Inf ) have a peek here
It sounds like I probably shouldn't hold my breath for a solution to this problem. Previous wireless sets had the 2.0A receiver, and I just happened to have one of these old receivers lying around. Dan JensenSaturday, 23 December 2006 12:49:06 (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)Wow, I almost bought that set thinking it would fix the problem since it was designed for Vista.
Took it home, and same thing - no screensaver.I think it's funny how MS acknowledges the vista + screensaver problem here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911895 but then sells the product as "Vista Certifed." Maybe less is better with keyboards!Any suggestions would be appreciated.AndyMonday, 19 February 2007 21:15:32 (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)so now the screensaver starts, but i can't sleep it. I even did a clean install to see if that would help. Thanks. On top of the Vista screensaver problem with Microsoft's own wireless products, their wired desktops also cause compatibility issues with Vista.
Not so mucha asolution, but a workaround. https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/wireless-mouse-xp-screensaver-122089/ When I come back to the puter, I just plug in the USB for the mouse and I am up and running. I could get the screensaver to work if I manually put into sleep mode. This suggests some corruption in the registry, possibly Malware.

What I got instead was a failed installation of the update with error code "800F020B". I am able to see the preview of the screensaver but it never turns on.
