I wanted to thank youtoo for posting the question and the fix.
My recomendation would be to do a System restore to a date before this began to happen. This worked and was easy. Power Nap. I too was hit by a virus that took off 2 of the Display Property Tags and I was at wit's end trying to find some help.

I actually bought 2 copies giving one to a friend who was totally lost with her new Mac.
