I added a fourth SATA drive (also Seagate), and it does post to the SAS utility during boot, so the BIOS sees it.And yet, Win XP does not see it. I took a flashlight and looked closely, and written in small letters next to the connector i was using, it said "sata4" I turned it on in the bios. It takes less than a minute and is completely free! i got this problem - setup did not find any hard disk installed in blah blah blah,… i followed the procedure of nlite but then the last stage of making ISO Do that and you can use its tools to assign specific HDD units to a RAID array, then initialize it. You need a power connection and an IDE cable to get your drive working. check over here Tell me please.

If it is a secondary drive have you formated and partitioned it yet? Kept saying a hard ware or electrical malfunction could of caused the problem . After inserting the XP setup CD, it is unable to detect the presence of a hard disk.
