I remember a few Pentium-class systems which would not boot with a failing hard drive if left for a week! Using an enterprise drive can mitigate your issues to some degree, but will not solve them. I would do this, I would run a GWscan on your old HD and check it for Read Element Failure. All times are GMT -5. You need a power connection and an IDE cable to get your drive working. has anyone experience the issue where the Motherboard and bios recognizes the raid but not the OS?
