When I check the device manager, it still indicates that it recognizes both of my hard drives. Look at the back of it, where the ribbon cable and power cable are, there should be a white or black jumper on a couple of pins. I have tried every configuration I can think of with no luck. After your sure that you have all your files, shut down, remove the old drive and hook your dvdrom drive back up, boot as normal and you're good. after I used this programe it seemed to have worked straight away. A tower case will normally have space for up to 3 or 4 drives, but a smaller desktop system may have only been designed to take one drive, in which case Thanks ever so much. If you do, use that IDE and power cable and jumper setting.
Boot your system up, you should be able to then go to my computer, and see your old hard drive. Had me baffled for a while as I am only used to Ide Drives. You need to remove the side which doesn’t have the motherboard on it, so look at the back of the system, find the USB/mouse ports, and remove the OPPOSITE side.
