I have 3GB of RAM and I have 2 hard drives on my system. I try to be careful not to leave my laptop lying around, so I prefer my screensaver not to be password-protected. Please try the request again. Then the computer would hang.

The problem lies with the fact that with the plethora of different configurations (hardware and software), it makes it real hard to test these different configurations for guaranteed compatibility. I am an admin on my computer but the weird thing is, even if I disable my screen saver and hibernation and all, it still gets locked. What happens when idle for some time? Thank you for this. (was an old company PC that disabled screen saver password option). To disable the screen saver: Right click on any free portion of the desktop, properties, screen saver tab, set screen saver from BOINC to None. I am running a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro.

This is what took me away from running this prog, but I was hoping that this bug was ironed out. You want to make sure the value for ScreenSaverIsSecure is 0 (zero). * Exit regedit; you’re done! I was running it fine until 6 or so months ago when the freezes began and had done nothing to my computer to alter its behavior. I have checked my device manager and everything is OK and no yellow warning marks. Such a pity that there aren't technically savy folks able to figure out what's wrong with the program. I just clicked the link you provided for the latest version of BOINC and installed it. My sugestion is to see if there is any compatibility problem related to Windows updates from August and versions 6.2.18 and later. Not a solution, but a short term work around. All rights reserved.
